About me....
I have been sharing my passion of yoga for 19 years, yet I am still in awe of the new things my students and I discover every time we step onto our mats. I love that I will never know everything about this practice. Knowing this keeps me excited, receptive and aware.
What might you experience in one of my classes? Presence, trust, growth, peace, freedom, commitment, laughter, rebelliousness, curiosity and acceptance. But… don’t take my word for it... join us and find out for yourself! In my late teens, I was drawn to a meditative pranayama (breath awareness) practice and then in my early 20's was introduced to asana (posture) practice.
I have been teaching & sharing relaxation techniques for over 30 years, and in 2004 I added Yoga Instruction to my offerings. Like the numbers side of things? - over 6,000 hours of yoga teaching experience - over 1,000 hours of yoga training and education It is important to me that I provide an environment that is safe and accepting to all and a place to discover “your yoga”. |
TestimonialsStudents say that her style is “soothing, creative & detailed”.
Through her own thoughtful yoga practice Sheron teaches simple ways to bring ease to our postures. We can then move forward in our own yoga practice, leaving behind fear of pain. -M. Brown, Courtenay New word for you... sherondipitous! Meaning: some joyful experience that leaps upon you during or after a Sheron yoga class. -Dorothy D., Courtenay Sheron has a gentle and fun way of teaching. One leaves her classes rejuvenated and relaxed yet challenged too by her wisdom of yoga and the many options she presents in such a respectful, and articulate manner. -Connie H., Courtenay Sheron is a yoga instructor who teaches her students not only body and mind awareness, which is in itself invaluable, but also acceptance of oneself with all our strengths and limitations. -anonymous, Courtenay I got a great deal out of (your) class and at times it almost felt like you were talking directly to me. I think you're incredibly tuned into your class. -A. Goosen, Courtenay |
On my bookshelf...
In March 2022 I participated in a "get your biz together" course. One of the projects was to share a little about ourselves in order to find clients that are a fit. One assignment was "share your bookshelf". I really like this idea.
The books I have chosen are ones that I have had for a long time, have read multiple times, and/or have deeply affected me and my life choices. What do you think of this idea? What books would you share to help explain a bit about who you are? You can click on the images to see the full view/larger image. |
