Options & variations are offered so you can explore poses within your current
range of motion and level of energy.
Classes are open to older adults, aged 55 & up, EXCEPT Meditation & Yoga, which is open to adults of all ages.

MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS (with Yoga)
What to expect: We’ll begin each class with a brief discussion on that day’s meditation practice. We will warm up our body and shift away some of the busyness of the mind with a short Hatha practice. We will explore meditation; we’ll try it out, discuss it (if required) and try it again. Experience silent seated, guided, walking, gazing & mindful meditations. Learn how to get comfortable, what tools can be helpful and how to set up a home practice.
All levels welcome.
MEDITATION and YOGA
Have you attended "Intro to Meditation (with Yoga)" with Sheron? Or do you have some silent sitting meditation experience? If yes, here is your chance to grow your practice with the support of a group. We'll begin with a Gentle Yoga practice and then sit for 15-20 minutes.
Some meditation experience beneficial.
(i am not currently teaching Yin Yoga as a class. The description is here as we have Yin poses in the "Gentle Yoga" classes.)
This is a quiet, meditative & slow moving practice. We use long resting, (sometimes prop supported) poses. Yin helps us to relax, release mental and physical tension, strengthen the joints and open up tight areas of the body. This class includes mostly stationary - low to the ground poses (seated, lying on back or belly). Deep stretching.
All levels welcome - may not be appropriate for those healing from a new injury.
YOGA FOR JOINT HEALTH (the Joint Release Series)
(formerly Yoga for Mobility & Ease in the Joints)
The 'joint releasing series' can be used alone as a gentle practice or as a warm-up for for the joints before a Hatha Yoga practice or other activities. It includes mostly moving poses (seated & standing) that are linked with the breath. (includes a hand-out)
All levels welcome.
